Delete your data

Last updated: 2 August 2026

You can destroy everything SireShield holds about you. You don't need our permission, you don't need to give a reason, and once it's done nobody here can undo it.

Fastest — if you still have your phone

Delete it yourself, from the app

This is the better route whenever it's available to you. It needs no identity check, because the phone in your hand is the credential — there are no SireShield passwords to prove anything with.

  1. Open SireShield and go to Help.
  2. Tap Pause, end or delete your account.
  3. Choose Delete my account and all my data.
  4. Read the confirmation — it shows the exact date and time your data will be destroyed — and confirm.

Your account is deleted 48 hours later. We stop collecting anything from your devices the moment you tap confirm, not when the 48 hours are up. The window exists so that a mistaken tap can be undone, and for no other reason: you can cancel it from the same screen at any point before it runs.

If you no longer have the device

Ask us to do it

Uninstalled the app, lost the phone, replaced it, or had it taken — this is the route for you. Because a request through this page carries no proof of who is sending it, an analyst will verify your identity before anything is destroyed, using the same channel you already know us through.

Read this before you submit. Whatever you type below, you will see the same confirmation. We will not tell you whether an address is associated with a SireShield account — not here, not in an error message, not by taking longer to answer. A page that answered differently for real subscribers would let anyone test whether a particular person is one of ours, and for the people we protect that list is the dangerous thing. We will also not send you any email about this request, for the same reason: a message in an inbox reading "your SireShield deletion request" is itself a document naming you as a subscriber.

Please don't include passwords, ID numbers, or anything you wouldn't want written down. We don't need them.

Request received

If this address is associated with a SireShield account, an analyst will contact you through the channel you already know to verify your identity before anything is deleted. As explained above, we don't confirm whether an address is associated with an account, and we won't email you about this request.

You may not need to delete everything

If the thing you actually want is for the monitoring to stop, there are two lighter options in the same place in the app, and neither destroys your history:

What deletion actually destroys

DestroyedKept, and why
Your application and the notes made about you when we vetted you.

Every device on your account and its full history — posture reports, detections, and the raw diagnostic data behind them.

Every concern you reported, every case, every investigation and its written findings.

Your monitored-asset list, which goes immediately when you ask rather than when the deletion runs.

Any request you have made through this page.
A record that consent existed. We have to be able to show we had your consent for processing that already happened. Your identity is replaced with an opaque reference that cannot be traced back to you, and the IP address is removed.

An administrative audit trail. Who did what, and when. Repointed at the same opaque reference, with the details cleared.

A device tombstone. An opaque device identifier and one word, retained up to 180 days. It is the only way we can tell a phone we have already forgotten to stop claiming protection and wipe itself. It names nobody.

Backups, which cannot be selectively edited. The erasure completes across them as they age out of their retention cycle.

We can give you a written confirmation listing exactly what was destroyed and what was kept.

Nobody here can stop it

Once a deletion you started from the app is running, no analyst, administrator or director at SireShield can cancel, pause or reverse it. There is no such control in our systems — not one we choose not to use, one that does not exist. When the window closes the erasure runs on your authority alone, and our internal rule requiring two administrators to approve a destruction does not apply, because that rule exists to protect you from us rather than to give us a say in your own deletion.

We think that is the difference between a company that says it respects your data and one you can check. More of our reasoning is on the Trust & Transparency page.

Other ways to reach us

You can write to privacy@codesire.net at any time — for a deletion request, a copy of your data, a correction, or a grievance. Our Director is accountable for privacy and answers that address. We respond within 90 days as the law requires, and in practice much sooner.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
